This blog has MOVED!

Facebook has changed it’s policy for posts to Facebook pages like mine. They are only showing posts to a few likers unless I pay to boost the views. Since I don't earn money from my blog (or at least not much, not even enough to buy one posh a coffee a week) I wont be doing that. The best way to make sure you will see my blog posts is to subscribe by email up there on the right. I usually only email once a week and include an invitation to my blog hop so you can share your posts too.

Weigh in #32

I've worked SO HARD this week! I have managed to hit my step target every day since Monday, and on the days I haven't been at work I haven't just hit it.... I've smashed it!

To be fair my step target is only 7250 steps (3 miles) and not the 10,000 recommended but when I've not been at work I have got well over the 10,000 so I think that balances out. I'll work up to getting 10,000 on work days (it's a matter of finding time as much as anything).

I've also been doing some yoga on the Wii Fit - ooooh my! My tummy hurts! Hubby says it's my abs but I refuse to call them that when there is still so much flab over them!

I've been spending a lot of time chatting to other Weight Watchers on the "Connect" section of the WW App, and it seems that I have not got this Smart Points system right. I have not been using all my daily points. Apparently most people do. And a lot of them have most if not all of their weeklies. And lose weight more effectively than me. It looks like I have been trying too hard! I worked that out part way through the week (after a cheeky mid-week weigh in that showed no difference in my weight) and amended my eating habits. And sure enough...... I've lost!

As usual, I'm not drinking enough water! WILL I EVER LEARN!

So here are my stats for this week:

2016 start weight: 13 st 5lb
Last weeks weight: 13 st 2lb
Current weight: 13 st
Weeks loss: 2 lb 
Total 2016 Loss: 5 lb


So this weeks goals are:
Lose 1-2 lb
Increase my work-day steps from 7250 to 8000
Drink at least 2ltr water every day

Something to aim for

We have a wedding to go to this August, and I have the hen night to look forward to as well in July - which is a spar day & night in a hotel (inc a meal we're dressing up for). And what do weddings mean? NEW FROCKS AND SHOES!

I love love LOVE Lindy Bop dresses! I bought a load last year and wear them for work, nights out, special occasions... all sorts of stuff. One of the reasons I want to get my weight down again is that half of the Lindy Bop frocks I bought last year are now too small and I want to get back in to them.

I also love Iron Fist clothes, especially the shoes. Again, I have a few pairs that I manage to team up with my Lindy's. I'm always thrilled when I find a match! Irregular Choice frequently match Lindy's but they are well out of my price range at the moment - I may treat myself to a pair of those when I get to my Goal Weight though.

So last night I ordered these; two Lindy Bops, and two pairs of Iron Fists, roses for the wedding, cherries for the hen night.

The dresses are 14s!

Currently I look best in an 18, and can wear the 16s but they look and feel a little snug. I can't zip up my 14s without fear of popping the seams! It breaks my heart to see them just hanging on the rail, unworn and unloved. I need to get back to a 14, and I need to do it before the middle of July!

Weigh in #31

I have really struggled this week to get used to the new points system. But I think I am getting there slowly. My replacement Fitbit Flex came this week and I used my first full day with it back on my wrist to see how I have been getting on without my lovely long walks (which with work and a strong will toddler who insists on walking but at a snails pace) is a rare treat indeed. The results were not good! Not even hitting my most basic of goals.

I am giving myself today and tomorrow (because it's a bank holiday and I'm off to the cinema with the kids) to get the last of my negativity and junk snacks out of my system and then I'm going for it! Determined to hit my 3 miles on the days I'm not tied to my desk at work, and to stay within my points. I have been really half-arsed about it this week and missed out on that lovely first week mega loss as a result.

I did lose though!
